Mallory MacDonnell is a doctoral candidate in Geography at York University. Mallory’s research interests are in political ecology and critical physical geography, specifically around materialities of nature within the complex relationship between nature and society. Her current doctoral dissertation centres around the mobility of fishing vessels and the mobility of fish, examining how marine species ecologies and gear technologies impact labour relations of industrial migrant fishery workers in Taiwan and Thailand. Mallory completed her MSc in Biology at the University of New Brunswick and BSc in Biology and Aquatic Resources at Saint Francis Xavier University.
