Sahan Wanniarachchi is a graduate student in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at York University. He received his BA (Honours) in English from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2016. He worked as a teacher of English at University of Peradeniya for more than six years. His research focuses on identity construction and value-based pedagogy, resistance, World Englishes, gender and sexuality studies, and nationalism.
