Shreya is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Politics at York University. Her research interests are in critical development studies, anti-colonial and anti-imperialist theory, gender and development, and feminist political economy. Her doctoral research examines Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy and practices of international development volunteerism as a means of highlighting the gendered, historical and political logics of Canadian international development aid policy and programming. Her research focuses on Nepal as a recipient country of development aid and volunteers from Canada.
