Wendy is an international doctoral candidate in Geography at York University’s Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change. She holds a MA in Southeast Asian Studies from the Center for the Study of Asia and Africa (CEAA), El Colegio de México. Her research explores the mining of sand and stone materials in the Jeneberang river in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Wendy is also an active member of Grupo de Estudios sobre Eurasia (Eurasia Studies Group).
