Echo from the Archipelago: Celebrating Connection through Traditional Music
In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Canada-Indonesia relations and 20 years of the York Centre for Asian Research (YCAR) at York University, the “Echo from the Archipelago: Celebrating Connection through Traditional Music” workshop is an effort to develop a bridge between Indonesia and Canada through music as interpreted by the Indonesian Diaspora in Toronto, and to trace a collective memory between musicians from Indonesia in Canada and diaspora members.
