Global South Forum at York University

The goal of the Forum is to bring together the community of colleagues at York University committed to facilitating conversations about development more inclusive of the critical intellectual contributions from the Global South itself. Its origins lie with the University Consortium on the Global South, founded in 2004.

The Forum is organized by (alphabetical): Pablo Idahosa (African Studies/International Development Studies, Department of Social Science), Ilan Kapoor (Environmental and Urban Change or EUC), Stefan Kipfer (EUC), Abidin Kusno (EUC), Viviana Patrioni (International Development Studies, Department of Social Science) and Anna Zalik (EUC). It is housed at and receives organizational support from the York Centre for Asian Research.
