Since 1986, when I first encountered the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, I have been interested in personality type and how type preference influences behaviour, including that of planners and managers. This was the focus of my doctoral research, it has been used in most of the courses I have taught, and it remains a significant component of my research and professional practice.
