Security Bulletin – Robbery – December 17, 2019 – Keele Campus

Description:
On Sunday, December 15th 2019 at approximately 6:20 pm, York Security and Toronto Police received a report of a robbery at Keele campus. A community member reported being approached by an unknown male as he exited the north Colonnade near the Kaneff Tower. The suspect demanded the community member’s property. A cell phone was taken before the suspect fled on foot. No injuries or weapons were reported. The Toronto Police investigation is ongoing and York Security is assisting police in their investigation. High visibility security patrols of the area are in place.

The suspect is described as:

Male 5’4″ tall, thin build, wearing a faded green jacket, baggy blue jeans and a dark coloured beanie style hat. The male appeared intoxicated.

The goSAFE service escorts York community members to and from any on-campus location.
