Objective
To support initiatives that:
- Support research and development (R&D) projects with Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 1-6 to design and implement innovative cybersecurity technologies, advance state-of-the-art products, and conduct research into emerging cybersecurity issues;
- Support commercialization of new technology with TRL 7-9, developing products and services that address cybersecurity challenges in critical infrastructure protection, human-centric cybersecurity, network security, software security, and privacy protection; and
- Provide opportunities for training, upskilling, and reskilling of students and professionals from various disciplines.
Eligibility
- The project lead must have a full-time/tenure-track appointment with the Lead Organization.
- Lead Organization must be a member of NCC when submitting the full application.
- Partner organizations must be members of NCC at the time of award.
How to Apply
Applications with funding requests of $1M or more will be supported by SIRI Specialist Christina Corre (ccorre@yorku.ca). Applications requesting less than $1M will be supported by the ORS Grant & Applications Team (researchapps@yorku.ca).
York University researchers are reminded that all applications for external research funding, including Letters of Intent, must be reviewed and approved by the Office of Research Services before they are submitted to the granting agency. For internal approval, the application must be accompanied by a completed ORS Checklist, which requires the Dean’s signature. Please send the complete application, with the finalized budget and a completed ORS checklist to sciapps@yorku.ca, five days prior to agency deadline.
