Objective
To fund partner-led projects that address research needs of the pharmaceutical biotechnology, or agri-food industry.
Eligibility
- This opportunity is open only to individuals at post-secondary and research hospitals who are eligible to hold research funds, including Tri-Council funds, i.e., the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) or the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
Note: Partner matching of 1:1.5 is required. 50% of matching funds must be cash (for a $100,000 request, matching should be $150,000 with at least $75,000 cash and $75,000 in-kind). Canadian Federal funding is ineligible for matching. Industry partner is preferred.
How to Apply
York University researchers are reminded that all applications for external research funding, including Letters of Intent, must be reviewed and approved by the Office of Research Services before they are submitted to the granting agency. For internal approval, the application must be accompanied by a completed ORS Checklist, which requires the Dean’s signature. Please send the complete application, with the finalized budget and a completed ORS checklist to sciapps@yorku.ca, five days prior to agency deadline.
