Spark Fire – Math for Real is a unique and exciting summer camp, organized by the IMMC-Canada Committee, sponsored by the Canadian Applied and Industrial Mathematics Society, the Fields Institute of Mathematics, NSERC PromoScience, and York University’s Faculty of Science, and supported by industry sponsor Maplesoft. The camp’s program is uniquely designed to help high school students understand that Mathematics is EASY, FUN and gives you REAL POWER in life. Using real world examples from biology, machine learning to modern technologies, the camp instructors promise to show you the true faces of mathematics that most people have never seen. Moreover, you will build programming and writing skills that further enhance your math power for real applications. Different from traditional math camps, hand-on activities and teamwork are the core part of the camp. This summer, we will take you to see the horizons of mathematics—where it leads you to your fullest potential. Be prepared and fasten your seatbelt. The ambitious you will be hooked on math for life!
