Research is focused on transformations of atmospheric aerosols and environmentally relevant films. We use single particle levitation methods coupled with spectroscopy to study individual particles and droplets, and surface sensitive methods including neutron and X-ray scattering to study interfacial films. The aim of the research is to determine fundamental physicochemical properties of aerosols and films that can be used to improve our understanding of the impact of aerosols and films on the climate and local environment.
