Research Interests

Main-group, Organic Materials Chemistry, Sustainable Energy

We are interested in the synthesis and advanced characterization of phosphorus-containing, smart functional organic materials for sustainable energy applications. Our materials-centred research program is multidisciplinary – it unites organic, inorganic, physical, as well as polymeric objectives and techniques. We particularly focus on the synthesis of molecular materials suitable for applications in organic electronics such as Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs), Organic Photovoltaic (Solar) Cells (OPVs), Organic Batteries, and sensors. Furthermore, we investigate possibilities for enhancing the solid-state performance of these materials through formation of supramolecular nanomaterials. We are also interested in novel systems for catalytic processes that are pertinent to sustainable energy applications, such as solar fuels.

Sub-Discipline

Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Organic Chemistry
