Internship Eligibility

In addition to the academic eligibility listed below, students also need to:

  • Be a full-time student
  • Be pursuing a degree in one of the eligible programs
  • Be in 3rd year
  • Have not been absent for more than 2 consecutive years as a full-time student from their degree studies
  • Have a minimum of 9.00 credits remaining to complete their degree before going on an internship work term

Life Sciences

Eligibility:

  • GPA of 7.5 or better in BIOL courses overall
  • Successfully completed:
    • 24.00 BIOL credits

Chemical & Physical Sciences

Eligibility:

  • GPA of 7.5 or better in BCHM, BIOL, and CHEM courses overall
  • Successfully completed:
    • 40 credits in BCHM, BIOL, and CHEM courses

Eligibility:

  • GPA of 5.0 or better in BPHS, BIOL, and PHYS courses overall
  • Successfully completed:
    • 9.00 BPHS or PHYS credits at the 3000 level or higher
    • SC/BPHS 4080 3.00 or SC/BPHS 4090 3.00

Eligibility:

  • GPA of 7.5 or better in CHEM courses overall
  • Successfully completed:
    • CHEM 3000
    • CHEM 3001
  • Minimum of 84 credits overall

Eligibility:

  • GPA of 5.0 or better in Physics and Astronomy
  • Successfully completed:
    • 9.00 PHYS credits at the 3000 level or higher

Mathematics & Statistics

Eligibility:

  • Have a cumulative GPA and an average of math courses GPA of at least 6.0
  • Successfully completed:
    • MATH 2280 3.00
    • MATH 2281 3.00
    • MATH 2131 3.00
    • Passed at least one professional exam

Eligibility:

  • Have a cumulative GPA and an average of math courses GPA of at least 6.0
  • Successfully completed:
    • MATH 3241 3.00
    • MATH 3271 3.00
    • At least one of MATH 3242 3.00, MATH 3260 3.00, MATH 3171 3.00, and MATH 3172 3.00

Eligibility:

  • Have a cumulative GPA and an average of math courses GPA of at least 6.0
  • Successfully completed:
    • MATH 3052 6.00

Eligibility:

  • Have a cumulative GPA and an average of math courses GPA of at least 6.0
  • Successfully completed:
    • At least two of MATH 3001 3.00, MATH 3010 3.00, and MATH 3021 3.00

Eligibility:

  • Have a cumulative GPA and an average of math courses GPA of at least 6.5
  • Successfully completed:
    • MATH 3131 3.00
    • MATH 3330 3.00
    • MATH 3132 3.00
    • MATH 3430 3.00
