Admissions

We carefully consider each applicant based on academic performance. For programs in the Faculty of Science, we typically require a minimum 80 percent average to be considered for admission. We do consider applicants on a case-by-case basis who fall below 80 percent but have a strong performance in math and science.

Science disciplines build on knowledge students are expected to already have – both in first year (building on the foundation from high school studies) and in subsequent years at the university, each building on the previous.

Although you may meet an overall average for admission we also carefully examine your record and may recommend specific courses to strengthen particular areas that are important to your success. At times we also require a reduced course load as a measure to enhance success.
