New international students to York University applying to the Faculty of Science will be automatically considered for an entrance scholarship based on final admission average. No application is required for this scholarship.

The York Automatic Entrance Scholarship is available to domestic high school applicants admitted to a direct entry undergraduate program. This entrance scholarship is automatically applied, renewable at all levels and can be regained when you recover the minimum required GPA.

*Scholarships are renewable for an additional three years of full time undergraduate study as long as the renewal criteria is maintained.

This scholarship is renewable at all tiers based on grade point average and course load requirements. To renew York University Automatic Entrance Scholarships, recipients must maintain a minimum 8.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) over a minimum of 24 credits taken during the entire academic year (previous Summer and Fall/Winter sessions).

Continuing Student Scholarships

After your first year, you will automatically be considered for scholarships and bursaries based on your academic results. You can also apply for a wide range of awards. At York, you will be rewarded for the achievements you make as a York student. Continuing student scholarships are based on your academic performance each year. The value of each award varies depending on the specific award, grades achieved, and the number of courses completed. Many of these awards require an application, but some are automatically granted.
