Talk Description:
It is now routinely possible to slow atoms with Lasers and store them in atom traps. These atoms typically have temperatures of about 100 micro-Kelvin. The talk will discuss the Physics of atom traps and describe how a thermometer to measure such low temperatures can be realized.
