I am partway through the 8 workshops and would still like to get my certificate – what can I do?
If you started working on your Passport to Success Certificate before September 2024, the request form will remain available to you until the end of the Fall 2024 term, to allow for time to complete your 8 Learning Skills Services workshops and earn your certificate.
If there is no certificate, how can I include the Learning Skills workshops on my resume?
Congratulations on completing a series of Learning Skills Services workshops! There are many resources available to you as a YorkU student to assist you in identifying the value of your involvement experiences and how to effectively articulate your achievements.
- Online Career Centre resources to assist you in writing “accomplishment statements” that highlight your skills on your resumé and developing “STAR stories” to share in interviews.
- Online Career Centre eClass Modules on resumé and cover letter writing.
- The Skills Kickstart Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for students outside of work/study to experience the Becoming YU program as either a mentee or a peer mentor.
