Sheila Forshaw was appointed to the Board of Governors on July 1, 2016 and serves on the Land and Property Committee.

Sheila is the Executive Director, Resources, Division of Students, Office of the Vice-Provost. She has a long history at York as a student/student-athlete, proud alumnae (1983) and employee in academic and non-academic units. She held the position of manager then executive officer in School of Kinesiology & Health Science/Athletics & Recreation prior to joining the Division of Students. As a student, she competed at the Olympics and became an athlete representative to the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC). She most recently served as a member of the pan-University IIRP Shared Services committee. She has received the Bryden “Local Hero” Alumni and President’s Leadership Awards.
