The SSRP blog: your source for the latest program information

Welcome to the Student Systems Renewal Program (SSRP) blog. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about one of York’s most important transformation programs.

Our goal with this blog is to offer York students, faculty, and staff the most up-to-date information about the program in a way that will help people understand the benefits and impacts of the upcoming technology changes. In this blog you’ll get easy to follow explanations about upcoming changes to software and technology, breakdowns of technical terms and an inside scoop on what’s next for the program.

This fall, watch for a short series that uncovers the different SSRP projects set to launch in 2023 and explains their impact on day-to-day work at the University. Subject matter experts, like the SSRP team and program leadership, will explain benefits of these new systems.

This blog series is part of the launch of the program’s updated, bilingual website. You’ll find detailed information on SSRP projects, as well as projected timelines, the program governance structure, an FAQ and a glossary. Visit the website’s Projects page to learn more about SSRP’s seven projects that are providing comprehensive solutions.

The SSRP is righting the future by making studying and working at York even better. We are committed to having the right technology in place so that you have access to the tools and information you need, when you need it.

We aim for this blog to address questions York faculty, staff and students have about the program’s processes and systems. Your ongoing engagement and feedback are important to us. If you have any questions or content you would like to see covered in an upcoming blog series, let us know by contacting the SSRP team at ssrp@yorku.ca

Stay tuned for our next blog post on the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships solution.
