Meet the TC Team: Interview with Educational Developer Dr. Yelin Su
By Katharina Pabst
As in-person activity at York University continues to pick up, we at the Teaching Commons thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to (re-)introduce our team. Over the next few months, we will release a series of interviews in semi-regular intervals that will give you a chance to learn more about who we are, what we do, and what we are currently working on to support the teaching and learning needs of the York community.
First up is Educational Developer Dr. Yelin Su, one of our eLearning specialists. In the video below she tells us more about how she got interested in technology-enhanced learning, what she and her colleague Robert Winkler are doing to constantly improve our offerings on Blended and Online Learning Development (BOLD), and what she likes to do in her free time.
Interested in learning more about the revamped version of the BOLD Institute that Yelin mentioned? The first cohort of BOLD Transitions and BOLD Foundations started in November 2022; the rest of the courses will become available in early 2023. To learn more, check out the blurb below.
The BOLD Institute: New Beginnings

Perhaps you already have an online course, but would like to improve on it? Join us in our fully revamped online program, The BOLD Institute: New Beginnings, to gain both theoretical understanding and practical experience with the design, development, and production of eLearning courses and objects using readily available tools in eClass (formerly Moodle), Office 365, Zoom etc.!
