Certificate in Experiencing Educational Development in Higher Education
This certificate is received after successful completion of one year-long course and participation in the delivery of the STAY Symposium.
Experiencing Educational Development in Higher Education
This course takes an experiential, inquiry-based, collaborative approach to learning about educational development. Participants have the opportunity to experience educational development with their peers. They choose what they want to focus on to support teaching and learning at York University and collaboratively design and implement different forms of support throughout the academic year. Synchronous class sessions throughout the year engage participants in activities to support their inquiry-based process, analysis, and reflection, as well as offer different lenses and facets of educational development.
Supporting Teaching at York (STAY) Symposium
Experiencing Educational Development participants’ educational development artistry will shine during the STAY Symposium where they engage all graduate student attendees in active learning strategies to provoke dialogue and reflection related to the question that grounds their groups’ area of focus for supporting teaching and learning at York. The STAY Symposium is an inspiring day to engage with peers about teaching and learning. Presenters deliver invaluable and transferable information across all disciplines and all levels of teaching experience.
