Record of completion certificate

The Teaching Commons offers this Record of Completion certificate to recognize graduate students' and teaching assistants' dedication to the enhancement of their teaching and learning at York University. This is a flexible certificate that you can earn year over year, choosing different workshops and modules each year to enhance your professional teaching development.

To automatically earn the certificate, the requirements must be completed within one academic year (between September and August).  If you wish to take longer to complete the requirements, please email Natasha May using email address maynat@yorku.ca when you have completed the requirements to receive your certificate.

Requirements

  • Complete any five (5) online modules or workshops by the Teaching Commons
    • The Teaching Assistant Course Orientation (TACO) is one self-contained way you can complete the requirements.
  • We will record your completion and automatically email you an electronic copy of your certificate if you complete everything in one academic year (September to August). Certificates are emailed in December and June each academic year.

There is nothing specific you need to do to enrol in this certificate program, but if you think you've earned a certificate, but don't receive notification by the end of December or June, email maynat@yorku.ca
