Classroom Strategies for When They Haven’t Done the Readings (IN-PERSON) – Jan. 29
All prepared with activities to assess if students are following along in the course but instead find yourself engaged in a monologue with blank, vacant stares and silence. Have only some students done the assigned readings for the week? What do you do on such short notice to move the class forward? In this session, you will engage in small group activities and large group discussions to come up with strategies to respond to and prevent student disengagement with required course readings, especially as the semester moves along.
