GenAI Summer Pods (ONLINE ~ June-August 2024)
What does generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) mean for your upcoming courses? Perhaps you are developing a strategy for critically engaging students with ethical issues surrounding GenAI, revamping a major course assessment to take GenAI tools into account, grappling with how best to approach academic integrity, or designing a new module about GenAI in your discipline.
GenAI Summer Pods offer a unique opportunity to work towards your course goals alongside colleagues engaged in similar work, providing accountability, feedback, and self-directed benchmarks as well as an opportunity to learn about what other faculty are doing to address GenAI. An educational developer from the Teaching Commons will facilitate sessions and support your work between Pod meetings. All levels of experience with GenAI are welcome!
Pods meet every 3 weeks between June and August. Pod meetings are dedicated to sharing about your project, receiving feedback and ideas from peers, and providing feedback on others’ projects in turn. It is expected that some progress will be made towards your goals between meetings, on your own time.
