Moving to Formative Assessment Strategies: TA Perspectives and Takeaways - Jan 20
Feedback strategies, time management, and student engagement are crucial elements of TA success. This webinar is designed to provide TAs of all levels with an introduction and overview of how they might integrate formative feedback in their pedagogy. In addition to considering formative feedback’s benefits and limitations, this webinar provides strategies for the effective implementation of a specific formative feedback model. Together, we will collaborate on activities modeling how to apply formative feedback to a standard assignment format, such as an essay, and demonstrate how this model of feedback can increase student learning and engagement, allowing the marking process to become part of the teaching process.
