Dear Colleagues,
You will be aware that University Information and Technology (UIT) staff, together with external experts, worked diligently last weekend to repair issues with the database that supports eClass and to further test and strengthen the system to avoid similar disruptions in the future. I am pleased to share today’s update with some good news about the stability and reliability of the platform going forward.
Given our online/remote learning environment this year, the University has seen a record number of eClass users, and the system maintained a remarkably fast response time throughout the week, while also performing reliably.
The UIT teams will keep working to continually improve the performance and reliability of eClass and to prevent disruptions in the future.
Sincerely,
Donald Ipperciel
Chief Information Officer
