UIT Service Advisory
Please share this information with your teams. The enterprise endpoint protection client "Trend Micro Apex One" is typically installed on University owned computers. This advisory is to Faculty and Staff who have a University computer asset taken off campus.
UIT is enabling a service change at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021, to continue to provide endpoint security updates to those offsite assets without requiring a connection to VPN. Upon your next connection to VPNYork, your computer will automatically enable this new service. Afterwards, you will no longer require connection to VPN to receive future endpoint security updates.
