Please share the following with your technical teams. Service: Central Active Directory service
Service Advisory Details: As part of the University’s continued efforts to safeguard its systems, data, and online environment, enhanced standards for protection are being introduced to the central Active Directory service.
UIT teams will be updating the following settings on central Active Directory:
User account lockout duration will be set to: 15 minutes
Reset account lockout counter after: 15 minutes
Audit user account management will be set to: Success and Failure
Audit user account lockout will be set to include: Failure
Impact: Updated user account settings will be in effect immediately.
Date/Time of Implementation: Monday May 1st 2023 at 8:00 a.m.
