Please be advised that Microsoft is addressing CVE-2022-38023 – Netlogon RPC Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability with a final rollout during the July standard security updates.

The Netlogon Remote Protocol remote procedure call (RPC) interface is primarily used to maintain the relationship between a device and its domain, and relationships among domain controllers (DCs) and domains.

What will change?

On Thursday July 20th between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., the central domain controllers servicing Active Directory DS/LDAPS will be patched to complete the final rollout. Vulnerable connections from non-compliant devices will be blocked.

We thank you for your time and continued understanding.
