Overview:
Insight provides information about first year student admissions and enrolment at York University to better support decision making. The dashboards provide metrics on the admissions life cycle from application to enrolment.
How do I access it?
Each faculty has an assigned designate to manage access to Insight. Contact your faculty designate for authorization, and then send an email to askit@yorku.ca which includes your Passport York ID
**Please note in order to access Insight you must have an employee Passport York account. You cannot login using your student account.

Overview:
eReports is the University’s Enterprise Reporting System and provides a variety of operational reports which combine financial, employee and fundraising data to support decision making across the University. Information reflected in reports is as of the end of the previous business day. Reports can be exported to PDF or Excel.
How do I access it?
**Please note you will need a Passport York Account to log in to eReports.
To request access to eReports, send an email to askit@yorku.ca with the following information:
- Employee name
- Employee ID and valid Passport York username
- Which reports you require access to (Finance, Human Resources, or Advancement reports). Contact your Executive Officer or Finance Officer for authorization and approval.
Finance Only:
- List of cost centres or financial rollups that access is required
- For Funds 100, 200, and 300, it is necessary to provide the requested access level (Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced). For a list of reports by level, see eReports Access Levels
- Rolling Budgets (Funds 100, 200, and 300 only) if required. Note: It is a prerequisite to have cost centres/financial roll-ups at the intermediate access level or higher for access to rolling budgets, and by default, access will be restricted to these cost centres/financial roll-ups. Access requests for Funds 400 and 500 must come from the cost centre manager or Research Accounting
Human Resources only:
- List of departments with access to a given report—access will be restricted to employees in those departments
Advancement only:
- Send an email to advancecore@yorku.ca to request access to Advancement-related reports.
Overview:
Power BI is a data visualization tool that allows you to analyze and present information. All faculty and staff at York University have access to a free power BI license. Alternatively, a Power BI Pro license may be purchased annually if required to support publishing and sharing of dashboards to a broader community.

How do I access it?
To download free Power BI please click here>>
If you are interested in purchasing Power BI Pro licenses for your team, submit a ticket to askit@yorku.ca and include the following information:
- Budget Number (cost center to be charged).
- Quantity of licenses required.
- Name and Passport York ID for each individual user being assigned a license.
Once the licenses have been assigned, you will receive a confirmation email.
**Please note that licenses are valid from the date of purchase to April 30th and are renewed at the start of each fiscal year.

The data warehouse currently contains student admissions and enrolment data. It is being expanded to include employee and financial data. Data is available for use and access by authorized users to support system integrations and departmental reporting. Access to data is provided for a specific use only and must be authorized by the data stewards.
How do I access it?
