My life, my community & sustainability on 24 May

Sustainable development, the urgency of climate change, the loss of biodiversity – there is much public discussion about what we can do to become more sustainable. What can students, teachers, university staff and all other people from Lüneburg do to contribute to a more sustainable world?

In this open conversation, we want to look at how we can embed current global frameworks into local processes of sustainability. This includes in particular the United Nations 2030 Agenda with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the heart of all global efforts is the concept of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), which since its beginnings at the Earth Summit in Rio in 1992 has become a recognised approach to achieving all SDGs. The event will be both in English and German.

Join us in-person on campus on 24 May at 4:30 pm CET at Leuphana University Luneburg (Room 40.606).
