Faculties, departments and units at York University are frequently interested in contacting public officials at all levels of government to secure their support for University initiatives, invite them to speak at events, or to share information of interest with them.
In order to maintain professional working relationships with these public officials, the Office of the President has developed a protocol that requires all university departments and units contact the Chief of Government and Community Relations prior to initiating contact with these officials.
