York University moves up in world university rankings

As one of two leading Canadian universities to improve in the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings, York edged up by two spots, ranking 61st among North American public universities.

Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change Dean, Alice Hovorka, reappointed

Dr. Hovorka has provided outstanding leadership during her first term. She led the 2020 merger of the Faculty of Environmental Studies and the Department of Geography into the Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change and inaugurated new governance structures that brought their respective norms and cultures into a new, integrated whole. 

New SDGs-in-the-Classroom Toolkit launches

An innovative and comprehensive SDGs-in-the-Classroom Toolkit has just been launched. It has been designed to assist York University faculty with their efforts to infuse the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their teaching and learning activities.
