Important to Know
- YUTA charges a $2 per hour administrative fee to the applicable cost centre after each payroll period.
- You have flexibility to shorten assignment length or request an extension to a maximum of three (3) months. Contact your People Partner to request a change.
- Employees placed through YUTA can be YUSA-2 (part-time and interim), Confidential Temporary Casual (CTC) and Summer Student positions.
- While YUTA can generally provide you with a casual employee with as little as one day’s notice, fill time will depend on the nature of the role, the job criteria, as well as the YUTA pool of candidates available including their suitability for the position.
- YUTA is operated by Recruitment and Onboarding Services, who proactively maintains a candidate talent pool for future opportunities including testing and completing reference checks for temporary employees. Recruitment and Onboarding Services ensures that employees hired through YUTA are assigned an onboarding path in YU Hire, manages assignment end dates and issues union notification for extensions, if required.
