Faculty Affairs

Faculty Affairs works to support academic staff by facilitating career development, managing appointments, and ensuring fair, inclusive policies. The unit is committed to fostering a positive academic environment where faculty members can excel in teaching, research, and service.


Human Resources

Human Resources supports the university community by offering strategic services in recruitment, development, and retention, promoting equity and inclusion, and creating an enriching work environment for all staff.


Indigenous Initiatives

Our Indigenous Initiatives unit supports and advances the university's commitment to reconciliation by fostering partnerships, creating programs, and providing resources that promote Indigenous knowledge, inclusion, and respect across campus.


Labour Relations

The Labour Relations unit is dedicated to fostering positive relationships between the university and its employees, ensuring fair practices, supporting negotiations, and maintaining a collaborative workplace culture.


The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion (REI)

The CHREI promotes a campus environment rooted in respect, inclusion, and equity. Through education, advocacy, and support services, CHREI advances human rights and provides resources for addressing discrimination, ensuring that York University remains a safe, welcoming space for everyone.


Office of the Vice-President Equity, People & Culture

The Office of the Vice-President fosters connection, inclusion, and wellbeing at York University, upholding core values of social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusivity. Through initiatives like the DEDI Strategy, Black Inclusion, and Indigenous Frameworks, we aim to create a positive, supportive, and equitable environment for all.
