eBay is an example of the Invisible Web and provides access to publicly accessible content.  While items for sale on eBay sometimes appear in results from a general search engine such as Google or Yahoo! Search, you would not use a general search engine to look for something on eBay.  But searching eBay directly will allow you to see what is for sale.
