Keep calm with dot com project

A new dot com pilot project for York University faculty will help to promote and build academic integrity into courses.

Available to all full and part-time York faculty, instructors and course directors, TurnItIn.com is one of the mechanisms in a proposed “toolbox” of materials, processes and mechanisms to help enhance academic integrity in course design, assignment preparation and so on, prepared by the Working Group on Academic Integrity.

TurnItIn is a commercial Internet-based search service developed by academics at the University of California at Berkeley and now available to York academics on a purely voluntary basis.

For a detailed description of the project click on the recent memorandum from Associate Vice-President Academic Rod Webb at http://vpacademic.yorku.ca/announcements/.
