It was a fair trade: Canadian ambassador to Uruguay Susan Harper was on hand at York last week to impart information and gain information. She was eager to discuss research opportunities available for York faculty in Latin America, the Caribbean and South America, and to talk about Brazil in connection with the new Canadian Chair in Brazil Studies that is being developed at York..
Harper was at a reception hosted by VP Stan Shapson in the Office of the VP Research and Innovation, and attended meetings with Shapson and representatives in York International, Schulich School of Business International Master of Business Administration Program, Centre for Research on Latin America & the Caribbean, and York Centre for International and Security Studies.
Harper also spoke to students at Schulich about Uruguay and about careers with the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
