This year’s York Fest was the biggest and best ever, according to Jeff Zoeller, York Student Centre marketing & events manager. The weather, organizers and students all cooperated to make the yearly event a rousing success.
“The York Fest Village by the reflecting pond was jammed with people — at least 5,000 — all day long,” said Zoeller. People milled around the balloon-festooned tables set up by the York clubs and services and by the event’s corporate sponsors. They sat and talked in the food section on the patio. And they rocked to the music of the CHRY deejays in the afternoon and from the performers on the main stage from 4pm onward.
“It was the busiest main stage we’ve ever had,” said Zoeller. “Everyone was packed in to hear Bullfrog, featuring Kid Koala, and BIF Naked. It was a great day!”
