Communications and Information Technology Ontario (CITO)'s business team will be visiting York University on September 25 to meet with academic researchers to explore how CITO can support innovative, market relevant research. As part of its mandate, CITO invests in academic research that has a high impact on those industries and builds collaborative partnerships between companies and academic researchers.

OBJECTIVE:
To support projects that will bring together academic and industry innovators in Ontario to help turn ideas and research into commercially viable technology for the benefit of the province. Research must be in the field of communications and information technology and digital media.
VALUE:
$50,00-$200,000/year.
DURATION:
Up to two years.
DEADLINE:
Expressions of interest are due at CITO Oct. 15
Full applications are due in ORA Nov. 29 and at CITO Dec. 15.
NOTE:
York University faculty members are reminded that applications for external funding must be first submitted to ORA before forwarding them to the granting agency. When submitting to ORA, applications must be accompanied by a completed ORA application checklist (including the
Chair's and dean's signatures). To assist in meeting the agencies' deadlines, it is recommended that applications normally be submitted one to two weeks prior.
