As part of an international collaborative initiative, York University has constituted an International Secretariat for Human Development and Democratic Governance. Through specific activities of research, education and knowledge dissemination, the International Secretariat aims to provide support and assistance to major international programs for human development, poverty reduction and decent work.
The International Secretariat is currently working with the Universitas program of the International Labour Office (ILO) and the Anti-Poverty Partnerships Initiatives (APPI) and Local Human Development projects (PDHLs) of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
