Remember pledges for York United Way campaign

As of Nov. 25, the York 2002 United Way Campaign had reached more than 50 per cent of its goal, with $85,000 raised. “Many thanks to all of our United Way team for their hard work thus far,” says Nancy Accinelli, this year”s campaign coordinator.

“We have a long way to go still, but the momentum has been building well. For example, in Facilties, PlanningĀ & Construction the team has made personal deliveries of pledge packages, and that area has achieved a 400 per cent increase in pledge donors over last year. Across the university such commitment is paying off.”

Accinelli reminds the community that the formal campaign will end this week. Donors are urged to file their pledges or donations as soon as possible. All donors whose pledges have been received by Wednesday, Nov. 27, will be eligible for a draw from prizes including a free massage at York Lanes Massage Therapy Centre, four-month Sport York fitness membership and a gift certificate (free wash, cut and set) at Kliks in York Lanes.
