Schulich’s NEXT event looks at trend analysis

Have you been wondering what are the key business trends that will shape the way we do business in 2003? The Division of Executive Development at York’s Schulich School of Business has, and they have organized a conference to examine some of the trends.

The NEXT Business Forecast is bringing together some of the country''s leading business thinkers and experts to provide analysis and key indicators of where Canadian business is headed. The event, which began Monday, Nov. 25, continues to Wednesday, Nov. 27.

The event kicked off with a CEO roundtable session called "View From The Top". Notable guest speakers included: Jack Mintz, president and CEO, C.D. Howe Institute; Evan Solomon, executive editor, Shift Magazine; Allan Gregg, Chairman, The Strategic Counsel; Tim O''Neill, executive vice-president and chief economist, Bank of Montreal. The forum will also explore corporate governance trends, new emerging values in leadership, HR trends and sectoral trends in marketing, retail, banking, manufacturing, IT and the service industry.
