Canadian Ambassador to Brazil Jean-Pierre Juneau visited York’s Glendon and Keele campuses recently to discuss the University’s plans to establish a Visiting Research Scholar in Brazil Studies. He also took the time to talk to students and faculty about the economic and political implications of the recent election of a new president in Brazil.
At Glendon College he met with Principal Ken McRoberts and had informal talks with students there prior to delivering a more formal lecture to students and faculty members. He arrived at the Keele campus in the afternoon to deliver a lecture, and, afterward, to field questions in a Q&A session. Later, he met with Paul Marcus, president of the York Foundation, and other Foundation officials, and with members of the Office of the Vice-President Research & Innovation.
