The Ontario Mental Health Foundation recently announced the second round of their Special Initiative Grant Competition. OMHF wishes to give special encouragement to projects that encompass a novel, interdisciplinary approach to mental health research in one or more of the following thematic areas: clinical, health systems and health services; or societal, cultural or environmental influences on mental health and mental disorders.
Value: A minimum of $500,000 to a maximum of $1,000,000. The foundation is interested in funding projects in the range of $200,000 to $300,000 per year for up to five years.
The GEOIDE (Geomatics for Informed Decisions) Network is soliciting proposals for Phase III Geomatics Research and Development projects. Preference will be given to projects that address one or more of the following thematic areas: geomatics technologies; integrated geomatics projects focused on sustainability issues; or areas of strategic interest such as disaster management and national security issues.
Value: $150,000/year for up to four years
The GEOIDE (Geomatics for Informed Decisions) Network is also soliciting proposals for Phase III Social Science, Humanities and Health research projects. Applicants should combine social science, humanities or health methodologies with the use and development of geomatics technologies and methods.
Value: $150,000/year for up to four years
