(The Honourable Mr. Justice Frank Iacobucci of the Supreme Court of Canada)
Some of the country’s leading minds will meet in downtown Toronto tomorrow to analyze the Supreme Court of Canada’s constitutional decisions. They are gathering for Osgoode Hall Law School’s annual Constitutional Cases Conference, held at the Osgoode Professional Development Centre in downtown Toronto.
At the opening dinner at the University Club, Dean Peter Hogg will announce the Supreme Court’s top constitutional decisions of 2002, as selected by York’s Osgoode Hall Law School Constitutional Advisory Board.
The advisory board, made up of 45 leading constitutional lawyers and experts from law schools, governments and private law firms across the country, was polled by Osgoode for its selections of the top constitutional cases of 2002. The board is the only such organization in the country and this is the first time there has been any authoritative determination of the top constitutional decisions of the year.
Among this year’s speakers is The Honourable Mr. Justice Frank Iacobucci of the Supreme Court of Canada, who will give the keynote address.
