York University will play host to a Rugby Canada summer test series match between the Rugby Canada All-Stars (a team made up of World Cup players and hopefuls) and New Zealand Maori on Saturday, Aug. 2.
Kick-off time for the test match is 3pm. However, there are a number of curtain raiser games starting at 11am.
The match will take place at York Stadium, located on the northeast corner of campus. The stadium will handle nearly 5,000 spectators and is expected to sell out in short order if calls to the Rugby Canada ticket line are any measure of public interest.
With a Maple Lodge Farms kids fun zone and curtain-raiser matches starting at 11am, this will be an exciting time for both local and out-of-town fans who are making the trip to Toronto for the civic holiday weekend.
Tickets prices are $50, VIP; $30, general admission; $15, youth 17 and under; and $10 for youth groups. Children 11 and under are free with a paying adult. Tickets are available at www.canadianrugbynews.com/tickets/toronto.cfm or by calling Rugby Canada at 888-991-9923.
