There will be seven productions on the program, representing outstanding works produced by undergraduate students of York's Department of Film & Video in 2002-2003. The winning films were selected by the jury from a collection of 19 nominated productions, which had in turn been shortlisted from over 15 hours of works made by second-, third- and fourth-year students. The jury chose the films for exceptional achievement in specific categories such as direction, writing, cinematography, and sound and editing. In addition, it selected one production rated as best overall.
