An evening of music


Office of the Master, Winters College, York University is presenting an evening of opera to celebrate the tremendous career of Canadian opera star Maureen Forrester. The event will take place this evening and starts at 7pm in the Winters Senior Common Room, room 021, Winters College.

Featured will be performances by a dynamic trio of professional singers including soprano Lisa Cosens Brillon, tenor Gerald Isaac and pianist Ruth Morawetz. The trio will perform a diverse selection of music theatre and opera.

  • Learned Judge's Aria (Trial by Jury) Gilbert & Sullivan
  • I Could Have Danced All Night (My Fair Lady) Lerner/Lowe
  • Tribute to Mega Musicals
  • Ring Them Bells (World Goes Round) Kander/Ebb

Accompanying the trio are students from Winters College who are studying music in the Faculty of Fine Arts. The student performers include: Jennifer Carter, soprano; Lauren-Eve Lazar, soprano; Cory Knight, tenor; Matthew Chapman, baritone; Leigh-Anne Martin, mezzo-soprano; and Vania Chan, soprano.


Admission is free and all are welcome.
